I’m working hard on what I think will be a pretty awesome tutorial for this Monday. In the meantime, here are a few shots of our spring yard. Since moving in, it’s been amazing to see what comes up each week. Things start to pop up where before there was nothing – the bare winter ground has given way to hyacinth, daffodils, trillium, trout lilies and primula, while the empty garden beds turn up strawberries and an unidentified tree shows itself to be a peach. Already these flowers have faded and been replaced with what seems like miles of Solomon’s seal. Each time I leave the house it’s a treat to see what’s shown up next!
And check out this little fellow hiding in our woodpile. I’ve never had this much yard before – it’s really like its own little wood, complete with wildlife. What a gift to be able to have a secluded picnic on your own property. Hope your spring is going just as well, and be sure to check back Monday for my most recent project!
