Hortus by Milleneufcentquatrevingtquatre
Aside from being a ridiculous name, Milleneufcentquatrevingtquatre is French for 1984, the birth year of business partners and textile artists Amélie Charroin and Marie Colin-Madan. The pair uses a combination of drawing, painting and photo collage to produce beautiful images that are then printed onto 100% silk scarves. Their designs are playful unions of the real and surreal, the geometric and the organic, and would look just as amazing hung on a wall as wrapped around your neck. Their Hortus collection, of course, features some of my favorites, as well as a relevant photo shoot! What do you think: frame it or flaunt it?
