Floral headpiece on male model by Takaya Hanayuishi

If you’ve had about enough of floral fashion spreads and wedding bouquets, well… I doubt this is much more your speed. But at least I can offer a bunch of handsome men instead of women for a change! Takaya Hanayuishi was a chef arranging food on plates before he put his artists’ eye to use creating amazing floral hairpieces like these. As you might imagine, most of his work features women, either in commercial photoshoots or in pieces designed for special events such as weddings. But I quite like this series featuring men, as it seems to address ideas of masculine and feminine forms and the fact that humans, like flowers, come in all sorts of shapes and colors.

This is beautiful – humans come closer to nature!
